Dj. Surda's research in the quest for his formula led to the discovery of a method for mixing songs that is both ingenious and amazing: the mashup.
After years of training his musical ear, exploring music from all over the world, and undertaking research in various musical collections, Deejay Surda developed his brilliant and inimitable musical formula: the Surda Formula.
This is based on the mashup technique, a musical composition and creation technique combining at least 2 songs - the more radical, the better. This results in a fusion that may initially seem unstable, but that is actually workable, and with even better results than the original versions, as well as unique takes on them. And so, plainly and with no taboos, and regardless of the music's style or era, Dj. Surda plays any song in his sessions - exploring human and musical nature and maintaining the originality, freshness, and sense of humour and dance that are what make his style stand out.

What projects is Dj. Surda working on?
Dj. Surda is a key player in the development of the mashup culture in Spain. He is the brains behind MashuParty, Spain's first 100% mashup parties, and MashCat.net, Spain's first website for mashup culture. He also founded MashRoom, Spain's first mashup band, who he appears with in a new show, MashuParty Live show, from 2017.

MashuParty Live Show co-creator
A new class of MashuParty where Dj. Surda appears alongside MashRoom in a full show that kicks off with live music from the band and finishes with a session from the DJ. They are joined by an animation team, special effects and some skilful staging.
